Hello, my name is Ashley Frances Lodovico, I grew up in Bristol, Connecticut and have lived there
all of my life. I have a wonderful mother- Bonnie, father- John and sister- Chrystal who all have
motivated me to embrace all that is good in this world and what it has to offer
me. They have and continue to be, along with all of my friends and family, my
biggest support system.
I am a graduate of Tunxis Community College and Central
Connecticut State University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art
Education and where I am currently working towards my Masters. This is also
where my talent for art was cultivated and molded into what I still develop
today.
My passion is painting- specifically with watercolors and
oils. I am fascinated by the constant experiment of working in layers of
color in such a way to create an object or image on a two dimensional surface.
I am mesmerized by the way lights and darks of a color dance together on a page
and sometimes when it is hit it just right way, it is like an explosion of
illuminations combined with beautiful exchanges of complementary colors that create
a captured moment of the beauty that surrounds us.
I owe a lot of my artistic ability to my late grandmother
Eleanor Chrystal; she was a painter as well and yearned
to grasp the loveliness that she saw in her everyday life.
